A majestic sunrise over Irvine Memorial Chapel. An undisturbed blanket of glittering snow. A grandiose cathedral. January 25th in Mercersburg Pennsylvania emerged in all its glory ready to see Janese & Dylan finally married.

It will never get lost on us how special and how much of a privilege it is to be invited into some of the most important and tender moments of a couples’ life on their wedding day. Especially when that couple is dear friends of ours! Ian and I were cheering for Janese and Dylan from the very beginning so it was such a special full circle moment to watch them tie the knot and seal the deal on their very special relationship.

Janese is certainly gifted with a special talent of turning everything she touches into gold. 🙂 From the moment we had our first consult call and she started sharing details, we knew this wedding would be perfectly stunning. And it was. Irvine Memorial Chapel was the perfect backdrop for their day and all the details were just perfect. This girl had a hand in just about every detail that you could see and couldn’t see. Their honeymoon in Hawaii was certainly well-deserved after the millions of logistics and strings she certainly had to pull to pull off the wedding of the century. :))

Being the photographer with such a close and intimate view of the day, I had the unique opportunity to see behind the curtain of all the gorgeous details into the true heart of the day and the beautiful couple. What stood out to me is just how elated they were to finally be married. 🙂 From navigating the ups and downs of a long distance relationship to becoming husband + wife (!) and finally getting to share everyday life with one another… you could just tell they were letting out a big sigh of relief. :):) It brought me back to the joy of being freshly married on our wedding day and it just made me so happy all over again. :))))

It also stood out to me how kind and dedicated Janese and Dylan are to their friends. They are some of the real ones. From hearing guests share about how this couple has changed their lives or helped them out, or just feeling the support oozing out of the bridal party, we really noticed the way they pour into their relationships.

Oh! You know what else stood out to me? How calmly, graciously, and un-ruffled-ly Janese let problems roll off her back throughout the day. To watch her go throughout the day was like watching water roll off a ducks’ back. I have never seen a more poised and gracious bride. Kudos to you, Janese. 🙂

Dylan & Janese, we hope these first few weeks of marriage have been beautiful and sweet! The best is yet to come!
