Tara & David, what a sweet, sweet couple! On the questionnaire I sent them before their engagement session, David said that one of the things he appreciates the most about Tara is that she’s easygoing and is able to let go of the little things. When I read that, I turned to Ian and I said, “This will be amazing.”
And it sure was.
From the moment they stepped out of the car, these two exuded such sweetness, connection, lightheartedness, giddiness, kindness, and chemistry. 🙂 We had a literal BLAST! We ran around like little toddlers enjoying each moment of their engagement session and soaking in this season in their life.
Tara & David’s first date was at the South Drive-In Theatre, so we started there to honor the start of their relationship. We started with some casual outfits and fun poses, and then we headed to the Scioto Mile to take some more classic portraits. (They slayed their outfits, y’all!!)
Fun fact, Tara told us that her wedding colors are going to be black, white, and green. Before the shoot we stopped at a grocery store and tried to pick out some flowers that were in her wedding colors. We went back and forth between several options but finally decided on the ones you see below. When we handed them to her, Tara exclaimed, “These are my wedding colors and I’m literally having these same flowers at my wedding!!” YES!!! Score!!
Ian & I got connected with Tara & David because Ian shot video for Tara’s sister Erin’s wedding in the spring. (You can watch her wedding video here!) Tara reached out to us this summer and was so kind as to say that Ian did such a good job with her sister’s video that she had to have us do hers. 🙂 We cannot wait to provide photo and video for Tara & David’s upcoming classic + elegant wedding in October!!
In the meantime, we’ll be scrolling continuously through these photos. :))
Thanks again for letting us do your engagement session, Tara & David! We loved getting to hang out with you two!
