Gosh I just love love love LOVE the fact that this day happened for Titus & Kailyn. They have been waiting for so long and you can just see their joy LEAP off the screen. And can we talk about how beautiful it was?!? Going through these photos all over again has me swooning. I can’t believe how gorgeous every part of their special day was. Ugh. From all the girls getting ready together in their cute blue and white pajamas to Kailyn standing in front of the window looking like an absolute freaking portrait of an ANGEL, to the absolute Cinderellas that every bridesmaid was… okay wait. I actually need to slow down and explain something. 

So Kailyn actually hand-chose each dress for each girl to reflect their personality but also go so beautifully together. STOP. And she did a killer job. Seeing those dresses together was actually insane. 

OH! And the GASP I gasped when I saw the florals Kailyn chose. Sarah Mitchell?! GIRL. You deserve a shoutout because what in the actual world?! The flowers were everything!! 

Okay. I also forgot to mention that Kailyn & Titus actually wanted Ian and me to be in the wedding party as well, so we got to be a bridesmaid and groomsman for the day!! Which was honestly super fun. My amazing second shooter Bronwyn grabbed a couple photos with us in them and we got to dress like the rest of the wedding party for the day while we still focused on capturing every moment of the day. 

If I had to guess what the most meaningful comments of the day were for Kailyn & Titus – at least of the moments I got to witness! – I would imagine the First Look would be up there. I sensed an immediate change in energy after they got to see each other. It was like all nerves and stress went out the window and after that they were just laughing and hugging and enjoying whatever the rest of the day brought hand in hand. 

I would also say I would imagine the moment when Kailyn & Titus were up at the altar, holding hands, and the music started playing and the entire congregation lifted up their voices in stunning harmony… (Honestly, you can’t describe the majesty of the acoustics in that room!) I think that might be when it all started feeling super real. 

Later on, at the reception, the speeches were so heartfelt, the sun was going down, and people were just mingling, dancing, chatting, and enjoying the environment. There was this really sweet feeling in the air of everyone realizing these two were officially starting their life together. (Eeeeeee!!) I think if you purchased a distiller and distilled the air from that reception, you would pull “sweetness” and “anticipation” out of thin air.

I think my favorite part to SHOOT was when we snuck out for about ten minutes during the reception and Titus & Kailyn played chase, shared a few hugs and kisses, and got to soak in that “We ACTUALLY just got MARRIED” feeling as the sun danced its finest dance in gold on the leaves before heading back in to enjoy the reception. AH. Chef’s kiss. 

Kailyn & Titus, I am so happy for you both! Thank you so much for trusting me to capture every part of your love story. It has been such a joy, so much fun, and a huge privilege. It was the the BIGGEST privilege of all to capture your most special day. I hope you enjoy reliving these moments as much as I enjoyed capturing them!
